I personally find that 30 degrees in the end of September is more of a reason to be concerned than one to celebrate. Autumn produce has appeared on the market, but ai know for sure that these undeniable changes of climate have been effecting the harvest in the last couple of years. Wine grape harvest at one point started in August in Sicily.
I have been to olive harvests many time, but I have never been to grape harvest. I would love join one, possibly from a small vineyard, where things are done still the old ways, rustic and folklorist? I would love to take some pictures and share some stories with you! Can you recommend such place that can host me for their harvest?
The not-so-relevant picture is actually from the green house in Norway, and that little bunch is of course table grapes. ?✨?
P.S. speaking of invitations, photos and stories, tomorrow I'll go one 2 day journey to discover the Tuscia area (near Viterbo, north of Lazio, where the scenery starts to look a bit like Umbria and Tuscany). Follow us along with #TusciaExperience.
