Back home from Bali!
Wrapped up my visit by co-chairing the @ASEAN Leaders’ gathering with President Jokowi.
Singapore has made sustainable development a key theme for our ASEAN Chairmanship. We need to align our economic development objectives with sustainable development goals, so that growth can improve the lives of citizens, but not at the expense of our external environment.
To this end, ASEAN will continue to engage and work closely with the @unitednations, @worldbank, and @the_imf. They support ASEAN’s community-based building efforts and helping countries close development gaps.
Sustainable development is a collective goal. We must continue to learn from one another’s experiences, and do better together. – LHL (MCI Photos by LH Goh)
