Working with international artists means that brainstorm sessions often happen over Skype. I had many discussions with the artists and my co-curator #HouHanru to talk about their ideas and to understand their thinking process. In one of these calls artist Samson Young told us about his idea to create a collection of non-existent and impossible instruments and compose music for them. In his installation “Possible Music #1 (feat. NESS & Shane Aspegren),” we can see an imaginary trumpet which is so large that only a dragon can play it—it’s rendered through an animation seen here! #GuggenheimTakeover
