You’ve likely never heard of #HilmaAfKlint, but she was one of Europe’s first abstract painters. From October 12, we invite you to discover the bold and dynamic canvases of this Swedish artist in the first major museum exhibition of her work in the United States. A contemporary of Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Malevich, af Klint began her explorations of non-representational painting years before her male counterparts, but her work has only become known recently.
