Artist @Cao_Fei’s work “Asia One” (2018) is a multimedia installation with different components, including a found object of a motor-tricycle used by couriers to deliver online shopping goods (seen here in the artist’s studio before shipping to the museum). The feature-length narrative film of the same name is the anchor of the whole project and involves many collaborators and planning, including dancers, cinema photographers, film editors and music composers, among others. “Asia One” continues Cao Fei’s research into the transition of China’s factory facilities and their workers’ realities. It is a sister piece of her 2006 work “Whose Utopia” which is also in the Guggenheim’s collection. #GuggenheimTakeover
