"A morning I will never forget, one of those special mornings that make getting out of bed at silly o'clock all worth it.

Initially, at sunrise, the cloud was so low and so thick that we couldn't see even a hint of the majestic rock so we packed up and drove the long way around Uluru on our way home for a hot coffee and breakfast.

Passing by Uluru again on the loop back, we spotted a glow coming from beneath the cloud. Within seconds the clouds began to break apart and various sections of Uluru would reveal and then hide away again.

We pulled up by the edge of the road and raced to grab our gear to capture the moment. 5 minutes later a police wagon pulls in behind us, you see, pulling over in random places within the Uluru Park is frowned upon. We were going to have to pack up and move during one of the most epic moments we have ever seen…

The police officer jumps out with a Nikon DSLR, says something along the lines of, “How epic is this”, and proceeds to capture the moment without a second thought of our dodgy parking." - @adamwilliamsphotography
