"This image was taken at sunset on the banks of Lake Bonney in Barmera, in South Australia. It was just as the sun was going down so the colours were intense as were the dynamic shapes of the old dead trees. If you look closely there are a number of birds resting on the tree trunks on the far right preparing to bed down for the night. I used a tripod and a remote cable release to avoid camera shake as the light was about to disappear.

I took a series of other images taken at sunset and sunrise featuring the wonderful tree shapes with the incredible colours that Mother Nature paints for us every day. The one tip that I can give is that you have to be up early and you have to be set up and ready for the wonderful colours, but they change very fast, so timing is very important, as is patience. Take lots of images to allow you to select the best, particularly as the light and colour can disappear before your eyes." - @waynepearsonsnaps
