Congratulations to Wat Ananda Metyarama on their 100th anniversary! This temple, at Jalan Bukit Merah, is the oldest Theravada Buddhist temple in Singapore.

At their centenary celebrations this morning, representatives of 10 different religious groups from the Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO) led attendees in a one-minute silent prayer. To mark the special occasion, 10 scholarships were presented to schools in Tanjong Pagar GRC, and performers from different backgrounds sang and danced at the celebration.
