Photo by @rezaphotography #Algeria // Village at Wadi Bou Ali // I had the incredible luck of being able to wander several months throughout Algeria, where I discovered its wondrous diversity. I was traveling through the south of the country. To celebrate the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s birth, the village at the Wadi Bou Ali was a place where families of villagers and Tuaregs come together in their Sunday best. They dance and sing together, rifles in hand. Their chanting was often punctuated by exuberant salvos by the men before the onlooking women and children. According to tradition, the women are veiled; some have their faces covered, others do not. They often remain off to the side, among themselves, with the children.
