I think a lot of people confuse happiness with material possessions. “If I get a new phone I’ll be happy” “if I had those latest trainers they’d make me happy” “if I could buy that car I’ll be soo happy!” Yes it’s nice to have expensive things that you’ve worked hard for but looking at the value of happiness - if you try to put a price onto it you can’t because money doesn’t buy, create or keep happiness you have to do that by yourself from your heart. True happiness is in being human and connecting with others, whether that be people, children, animals or trees it’s feeling a sense of peace and belonging. I feel truly happy when I’m helping others, I feel truly happy when my children hug me tight, I feel truly happy when I cook my family a special meal that I know they’ll love, I feel truly happy when I make a difference to somebody’s day and I feel truly happy knowing that everything I have, everything I feel and everything I see is such a precious blessing.
