@MaydanDC, one of our 2018 Restaurants of the Year, is named for the public squares restaurateur @RosePrevite encountered on her travels through Arabic cities. The space, centered around a monolithic copper-wrapped fire pit, the heart and hearth of the restaurant, is designed to cultivate an energy she feels is missing in D.C.’s divided climate. “I want you to bump into people, to have to engage with strangers and find your way,” she says.
