This brought tears to my eyes this morning, as I am working on something that's been a long time coming, and that I've been scared to work on for so many reasons. I typed them all up yesterday, all the resistances and hang ups and flat out excuses. I put them in a column, and then in a second column adjacent, rationally talking myself down from every line of bullshit I've been feeding myself for years. Every single one. There are no reasons anymore, and when they creep up, as I am working and writing and plugging away, the columns are on my laptop, set as my wallpaper. I cannot close the tab and forget, or the cover of the notebook and forget that I've eliminated the reasons to not pursue my art. I need to stop telling myself I'm not worthy of creating just because others already are or have, or because I think I don't know enough. Deep breath.
