#WOMENSDAY. Today we celebrate the strength of women. Meet Alina Zagitova. Perhaps it was written in the stars that she would become an Olympian. Zagitova was nameless for a year until her parents decided to name her "Alina" after watching Russian rhythmic gymnast Alina Kabaeva. She was the youngest gold medallist of #PyeongChang2018, and her figure skating medal was the first gold of #OAR at the Games. Her clean short programme set a new highest technical score of 82.92, eventually leading her to the gold. This beat the previous record of 81.61 points that her rival, and friend, Evgenia Medvedeva had achieved earlier that evening. #IWD2018
