The shadow of my #paraglider gives a sense of scale to the coastal dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses, #Brazil. The #dunes are formed by strong coastal winds that blow beach sand deep into tropical forest. During the rainy season the low points between the dunes turn into fresh water lakes, and the jungle rivers, stained brown with tannic acid, reestablish their path to the sea. #notadrone To see more of this unique wilderness, follow @geosteinmetz
