Post #2 The Crossfit Games 2009 is still so clear in my memory. I was a 19 year old girl, excited about traveling to the United States and to challenge myself once again. The atmosphere at the ranch was amazing. The venue was incredible and the PEOPLE here were different from anything I had participated in before. I was only a few months into my crossfit journey and still didn’t quite have the terminology down. I remember preparing for an event - the 1RM snatch - and soon realized that the athletes around me had a different grip on bar and moving in a different pattern - I had been warming up my clean&jerk ? 2009 was a year of a lot of Firsts for me the most memorable one is getting my very first MU during the final event and feeling like the crowd literally did it with me. Unlike any other sport that I know of, my fellow competitors walked over to me and tried their best to teach me, even though I would be competing against them in the floor.
