PHOTOGRAPHY @camilafalquez. Each photographer in this portfolio captured a different character, an idea @ha.w.a had of celebrating self determination and the way feminism is about giving us the freedom to be many different things. I was so glad Camila shot the environmental activist character. Her work is so creative, often falling closer to visual art and sculpture than traditional fashion photography. For this reason, it’s a brilliant symbol of the type of creative thinking we’re going to need to make fashion part of a sustainable future. So much of what we do day-to-day has to shift. We cannot build sustainable businesses that rely on rampant consumerism and endless growth. But if we focus on our renewable resources — creativity, community, and culture — I think we can be an integral part of a just and sustainable future. An extra special shout out for this series goes to stylist @jessswill who sourced vintage fashion and set designer @gracehartnett_ who worked with Camilla to create multiple beautiful and complicated sets in the span of hours. #voguemarzo
