When @etorriente, editor-in-chief @Vogue España, approached me to shoot the 30th anniversary issue a few months ago, I was in the midst of receiving 100s of messages about abuse in our industry, and I was six months pregnant. What I was feeling then, is perhaps what many of us are feeling now: that we are in a world reckoning with the weight of centuries of violence against women, people of color, and the planet; that we are introspective, as we open to our own roles and responsibility in this violence, and our own potential for growth & evolution. It was that sentiment - our potential - I told her I wanted to investigate. She said she trusted me. What followed was a collaboration that is truly one of the highlights of my career. Inside she supported a portfolio of work that represents, to me, the future of fashion, which I’ll share in following posts. For the cover she gave me the opportunity to work again with @inezandvinoodh, who have been my friends, my champions, and my partners in creative work in front and behind the camera. Exploring with them as a model and a creator has been an enormous blessing, and has transformed what I thought was possible from myself and even from fashion. #voguemarzo
