Considered one of the world’s great sculptural achievements and the United Kingdom’s most famous public sculpture, #AntonyGormley’s iconic Angel of the North, turns 20 years old this week. In celebration, we are including one of the artists related, bronze maquettes in our upcoming #Contemporary Art Evening Sale in London on 7 March. The sculpture has best been described by the artist himself: “more than any other work that I have been involved with, the Angel exhibits sculpture’s ability to endure.
