"We need more respect in 2018." Marah Rockhold, a Virginia resident, is originally from the Cayuse Nation in Warm Springs, Oregon. Marah attended the @womensmarch in Seattle last year. Today, she marched in Washington, DC, where @andreabruce photographed her. Marah hopes to see more respect for the missing and murdered indigenous women in the U.S. and Canada. On the first anniversary of the #WomensMarch, thousands gathered in major metropolitan areas and small towns around the globe to protest. 8 photographers covered rallies while on #nytassignment in the United States. We’ll be sharing more of their photos this weekend.
