Personal Note: Uzbekistan stretches west to east, a long, vast country often sparsely populated, where hours driving can be spent gazing upon a limitless horizon. Coming across a small village, I asked my friend, Aziz, if we could stop in, just to see. At first he was hesitant, concerned whether we would be welcomed. Within minutes, a kind gentleman quickly became our friend, welcomed us to his home for tea, followed by dinner. There within carpet laden walls evolved into a most loveliest of evenings filled with laughter, and kindness, typical of what we found throughout my month long trip overland travels across this entire central Asian nation for part VI of the @outofedenwalk.
