SHOULD YOU TRACK MACROS EVERYDAY⁉️? ⠀ Tracking my macros was like a second language at first. With this new language, I depended on my tools. For example, I was carrying my “dictionary” around more often than not (which included a scale, a fitness app, and bookmarks of several trusted articles and sites)? ⠀ But as I grew more fluent in the practice, I was able to leave my dictionaries at home. ⠀ That’s the main objective of learning something new anyway: having the fluency to be confident in the way I speak (or in this case, eat) ⠀ So no, I don’t believe tracking macros everyday is necessary. You might need to hold your dictionaries tight and rely on your resources for a large chunk of your fitness journey, but this should be temporary. And only long enough until you cultivate a greater understanding on intuitive practices. ⠀ The main objective should be fluency and graduation.✨ ⠀ I’m in a point in my life where I favour intuition over anything. I’ve come to trust my body and its cues through macro tracking. I know what a portion looks like, I know when I’m hungry (and when I’m not), and I know when I need chocolate (pretty often??) ⠀ Simply put: I don’t track macros every day, and I don’t need to. As for all of you, I recommend finding that balance for yourself: give in a little to intuition. I think you’ll be surprised.? ⠀ —— ⠀ Finally back home in Fort Langley and guess what? SHOULD YOU TRACK MACROS EVERYDAY⁉️?

Tracking my macros was like a second language at first. With this new language, I depended on my tools. For example, I was carrying my “dictionary” around more often than not (which included a scale, a fitness app, and bookmarks of several trusted articles and sites)?

But as I grew more fluent in the practice, I was able to leave my dictionaries at home.

That’s the main objective of learning something new anyway: having the fluency to be confident in the way I speak (or in this case, eat)

So no, I don’t believe tracking macros everyday is necessary. You might need to hold your dictionaries tight and rely on your resources for a large chunk of your fitness journey, but this should be temporary. And only long enough until you cultivate a greater understanding on intuitive practices.

The main objective should be fluency and graduation.✨

I’m in a point in my life where I favour intuition over anything. I’ve come to trust my body and its cues through macro tracking. I know what a portion looks like, I know when I’m hungry (and when I’m not), and I know when I need chocolate (pretty often??)

Simply put: I don’t track macros every day, and I don’t need to. As for all of you, I recommend finding that balance for yourself: give in a little to intuition. I think you’ll be surprised.?
