Today after a quite a while, I took the time to go to my organic, health food store to stock on some wholesome ingredients that had been missing from my pantry recently. Wholegrain flours, chestnut flour, brown rice flour, whole sea salt and muscovado sugar.
My home cooking needs a bit of more attention recently, both in terms of quantity, as I rarely cook these days, and of course quality. That’s why I packed on wholesome grains and flours, to get baking as temperatures drop and the holidays season crawls upon us. I find myself immensely inspired by the gorgeous cookbook of @valentinahortus’s, #NaturallyVegetarian where she has beautifully gathered simple, hearty and nutritious Italian recipes. There are so many of them that I wanna cook, specially vegetable pies, salads and cakes. Actually I had chosen my favorite recipe to cook first a long, long time ago. And I’m planning to make it one of these days. (It was supposed to be my Sunday baking project, but then I realized that one equipment was missing, and since I haven’t found it yet, I need to buy a new one).
