Here is an image from my first story in National Geographic Magazine, shot during the Munich Oktoberfest in 1990. Started as a royal Bavarian wedding celebration in 1810, the Munich Oktoberfest is the world’s biggest beer bust, attracting more than seven million revelers annually.
