This image, like all of mine, was of course the result of an enormous amount of luck as some red deer hinds had spotted me lurking and all serendipitously crested a ridge to check me out. Not only that but the one in the middle even led the way to balance the composition perfectly. Of course the light is a bit rubbish but this was taken many, many years ago, probably as far back as 2009 but still, the image is still quite effective. For those who might be interested in photographing the red deer rut with me this coming October then I will be guiding a maximum of two people per day to experience this wonder of nature.
