#tbt to the last day of my trip in Switzerland a few weeks ago!! My skin and body were haggard from crystal hunting and climbing, it was my third day of attempts and these crunk alpine rain storms coursed through the region daily. My method for the problem was far from complete, and success seemed like a long shot amidst the grim conditions, however, syke was super high, I had the fire, and I didn’t need skin for the flight home. Climbing the rig would complete the trip? and with some last minute beta-mods, and an A Muerte attitude, I managed the second ascent of Manhatten Reine Cantonale [8b+] up in the majestic Val D’Hérémence ??? This amazing power problem was opened by @theochappex and is a sick addition to plethora of hard rigs out in Valais. Long punchy moves on bad crimps lead out this incredible black face culminating with a tricky heal move meets sideways jump off a Lucid-esque mini pinch.
