Already thinking about lunch? Claes #Oldenburg Coosje van Bruggen’s Leaning Fork with Meatball and Spaghetti takes pride of place in its incongruous setting at the #Orangery in #ChatsworthHouse. One of the most seminal figures of the ground-breaking #PopArt movement in the 1950s, Oldenburg was at the centre of reintroducing identifiable forms in art - creating object-based works executed in bold, exuberant colours. In 1970, Oldenburg met fellow artist and curator Coosje van Bruggen, instigating a powerful professional and romantic partnership. Together, they created sculptures that incorporated humour with a sincere sentiment – often musing on contemporary self-identification and consumerism. On view until 12 November as part of our #BeyondLimits exhibition of American #sculpture. ?
