Photo by @joepetersburger // STARGATE // Sunflower at night with star trails. This is an experimental shot about an overexposed topic. I tried to make something different. There are different kind of flowers in order of blossom. Some of them close there petals at night, some open exclusively at night. Once sunflowers open up, they remain like that. They are in blossom all day and night, so I positioned myself to have my camera, center of the flower and the pole star in-a-line. I had a strobe light on the flower to have it sharp during a 20 seconds exposure to have the star trails around the flower as well. Even the most common topic can be exciting! All this happened about 20 miles from my actual residency. No need to travel far away for fantastic experience. Travel less, discover your backyard, reduce your ecological footprint!
