I touched on this on IG story LIVE yesterday but unfortunately the video didn't save for you all to re-watch! That being said I have been trying to go live with questions everyday and will do so again this evening :) - What if I told you you wouldn't die if you missed a meal? What if I told you that it could actually BENEFIT you and your digestive tract? Fasting goes wayyyyy back and although health advocates are hesitant to admit it due to the stigma involved, it still has numerous benefits. - Giving your digestive system a break can actually help regulate digestion as ironic as it may sound anddddd it helps prevent aging. There's plenty of ways to do it and depending on YOUR schedule and lifestyle the way you implement it is completely up to you! - For those who suffer from binging and eating disorders fasting can also be fantastic and help correct eating patterns. Going all afternoon without a meal allows you to eat at a set time that fits into your lifestyle. If you are used to large amounts of food at once, you can have a large meal late afternoon and then not eat again until the following afternoon. Seems crazy but how many of us have a day we sleep in? You’re likely already doing this these days and don’t even realize it. Try having a meal at 7pm, skipping breakfast the next morning and then holding off and eating as late as you can that afternoon! - When you get over the fact that you won't starve without food for a day you'll be pleased to find that you have MORE energy and you'll feel better both mentally and physically. Some people enjoy 24 hour fasts while others like the intermittent fasting approach. - I wouldn't say I'm religious about it, but I do tend to somewhat employ intermittent fasting into my daily routine without even being conscious about it. (I usually experiment with introducing this in phase 3 with my clients). I personally work out first thing in the morning and can't stomach in a full meal so my first meal is usually after the gym simply because it works best with MY schedule and lifestyle. - #LearnMyWays ?? e? me for info on my programs ?? - #intermittentfasting #fasting #healthandwellness #fitness #transformationjourney
