ニューヨーク・タイムズのインスタグラム(nytimes) - 7月23日 23時29分

A few years ago @ryanpfluger spent the summer shooting portraits of people in parks throughout New York City. This year, he said, “I wanted to do something for Pride that still felt like it was my work.” As a photographer he brings, in his words, a “queer mindset” to his images. Usually @ryanpfluger talks to his subjects for an hour or so, getting to know them before pulling out his camera. But on June 25, he had only a few minutes to take portraits of parade-goers, like Travis Chantar — who’s pictured in the first photo here — as they passed through Washington Square Park. @ryanpfluger photographed anyone who was willing to stop, and he didn’t ask how they identified unless they chose to share that information on their own. “I want to leave it open for interpretation,” he said. “We can look really different, and yet there can be this connecting thread that isn't visual.” Swipe left to see more @nytimesfashion photos, and visit the link in our profile to see the full collection.
