Whenever they catch the fish, they land on a solid surface; shake off the water from it; hit it by the head sever times in order to kill it; then swallow, or give it away to the partner or the chicks. This is a complex shot. I had a slight backlit, so water #drops and their trails in the air are well visible, but I used strobe as well to have sharp details during a long exposure.
