It’s a star attraction at one of New York City’s most famous destinations. Every day, museumgoers at the American Museum of Natural History (@アメリカ自然史博物館) gaze upward at a 21,000-pound #whale poised majestically above the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life. Based on a female blue whale found in 1925, the #whale has been the centerpiece of the hall since it was installed in 1969. But when a whale’s out of the water, dust gathers. So every now and then, the 94-foot-long model needs a bath. Today, the photographer @vincenttullo was on hand to witness the model's annual spring cleaning. Here, you can see Trenton Duerksen, the exhibit maintenance manager, using a vacuum-like hose to begin the process, which takes about 2 days. Follow @vincenttullo to see more. #?
