A legion of children and parents gathered last week in Sanitá, a gritty neighborhood in #Naples, Italy, for a casting call. The goal: A chance to act in an @hbo production based on Elena Ferrante’s novel “My Brilliant Friend.” In a throwback effort at authenticity, producers are looking for amateur child actors — 2 sets of girls in 8- and 15-year-old iterations, and then a large supporting cast.
