I see an eye. I learned that there is actually a name for this phenomenon: pareidolia. Pareidolia can cause people to interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadow, as faces...or, in this case, an eye. Call me crazy, but I see this stuff everywhere. Besides being the eye of some giant troll who lives in the rock, this is also one of my favorite places in Arches National Park: the windows section. In particular, I love the North Window Arch (as seen here). In the early morning there is a fantastic view through it from the other side to the close by Turret Arch, but it is fun to photograph no matter the side or time of day. Just be sure to watch out for the troll.
