After shooting thousands of images all day at Pipe sometimes you just have to take a chance. In all the surfing images I have shot this one feels like it gives a better sense of the soul of surfing more than any other of my surfing images. I shot over three hundred slow shutter motion blur images like this to get one that worked. In Oahu, and specifically in the winter, the north shore is a huge tourist draw mostly because of the surfing culture. #surfing #pipeline #bonzaipipeline #oahu #hawaii
