A mesmerising exhibition of works by the #Austrian artist Renate Bertlmann is now on view at our S2 Gallery in #London. A key figures in the #feminist art movement of the 1970s, Bertlmann’s work includes performance, #photography, #painting and sculpture, and is as diverse as it is enduring. This arresting hanging #sculpture by the artist, “Die Erlösung Meiner Schwestern” (The Salvation of My Sisters) is a portrayal of three wrapped breasts. The combination of organza and gauze hanging over the three hearts as a #veil, is a reference the #bride figure.
