Horsing around. Rudolph Kuntz (1798 – 1848) was a notable painter of #horses, travelling to England, #France, Hungary and #Germany to study and draw the elegant Thoroughbred breed for his work. An extremely rare complete set of lithographs of #Arabian Horses by the artist will be offered in our #wonder filled Travel, Atlases, Maps and Natural History #auction in #London on 9 May. The majestic #animals depicted, including the elegant grey “Gumusch Bournon” shown here, came from the Royal Wurttemberg stud farm but are illustrated in exotic Middle-Eastern backdrops.
