5 things I eat everyday: 1. It 2. Depends 3. On 4. My 5. Mood (lol) Seriously though! I assign no rigid protocols to my eating habits. I don't have absolute food groups that I swear by/curse upon/eat only before or after this or that hour. I'm simply guided by macros and initiated by intuition. Instead of rules, here are 5 guidelines I follow when eating 1. Consume lean protein - I prefer consuming leaner meats like chicken, tuna, turkey, extra lean beef, and egg whites 2. Reach your fibre goal in variety - this means incorporating variety within the food groups - eating different vegetable and grain products allows you to incorporate a variety of essential nutrients. For example, oats are rich in thiamin but lower in vitamin K, and cooked spinach is rock in vitamin K and lower in thiamin. 3. Drink your water - Replenish your thirst throughout the day, and especially when you're engaging in high intensity exercise. It also helps in controlling satiety while eliciting a feeling of fullness. 4. Use no/low cal substitutes when offered. That includes condiments, seasonings, sweeteners, drinks, dressings, etc. Cutting calories in these subtle ways will help save calories that are better spent in ways that support satiety. 5. Eat most of your calories when hunger levels are highest (this is the morning and evening time for me). During the afternoon, I'll eat smaller carb portions with moderate protein. I usually opt for salads, oats, or plain veggies and chicken (The simple foods are my favourite because I find it easier to digest). Main gist is to moderate your caloric intake based on hunger levels. These are merely guidelines to how a typical day of eating looks for me. I’ll be doing an off season full day of eating for my Youtube channel very soon. In the meantime, I suggest you guys take a look over my guidelines: do you follow any of them in your own life? Sound off in the comments! ? #FoodForThought #BreakfastIsBae #ThisWasASizeSmall? #FightForGrowth
