Bidders from around the world competed for works with captivating provenance in our #OldMasters sale in #London tonight, setting five auction records, with almost 80% of lots selling above high estimate. This early Renaissance portrait by #Titian and his studio doubled its estimate to realise £2.1 million. This ranks as the fourth highest price achieved at auction for any work by Titian.
