In an extraordinary race of one, Mary Keitany of Kenya ran to her third consecutive victory today in the @nycmarathon in 2 hours 24 minutes 26 seconds. Pulling away from her rivals before the 10-mile mark and never needing to look back, she covered more than half of the course entirely alone. The men’s race was won by a 20-year-old Eritrean, Ghirmay Ghebreslassie, who blew kisses to his onlookers as he won.
