László Moholy-Nagy's 'EM 1 Telephonbild' is a masterwork of 20th-century conceptual art. Conceived in 1922 and executed in 1923 by a local enamel factory, based on instructions provided by the artist over the phone, the work exemplifies Moholy-Nagy's pioneering use of industrial technology in art making. It is one of two works by the artist we are offering this November that were most recently on view at the @グッゲンハイム美術館 museum, as part of an acclaimed retrospective on the artist.
