The staggered stance single leg Romanian deadlift ?? The most common variation of a conventional Romanian deadlift is to do it single legged. However, this can be particularly challenging if you are still developing core stability and hip/hamstring mobility. Enter the staggered stance ?? This variation allows you to target the posterior chain on the front leg while maintaining a smooth hip hinge with minimal hip rotation. This means you can often go heavier as instead of focusing on not falling over, you can focus on strength, form and activation of the correct muscles ? Single leg RDLs are an amazing exercise for your posterior chain (which includes everyone's favourites, the hamstrings and glutes ?) as well as for your core. If you're new to them then definitely try this variation to ease yourself into it.
