Blacktip reef sharks swim in just inches of bath-warm water and wait for the tide to refill the lagoon at the remote atoll of Aldabra. Moving into deeper seas off the reef edge is too risky as bigger sharks like great hammerheads pose a threat to the reef sharks. To include as many sharks as possible into the picture I used a small ladder to get an elevated view. The storm building on the horizon adds energy and drama to the frame.
