I'm 5'5 at about 135lbs - if I'm maintaining a lean look I consume anywhere from 5-6 meals a day for a total of 1400-1600 calories. When I'm building all the way up to 2300 calories and when I shred I'll go down to 1300 but never below! Crash diets under 1000 calories are unhealthy & the wrong way to go about weight loss!
