This mountaineer is one week away from the peak... peak week that is ? I'm currently filming for my next YouTube video which will be live on Monday? I'll be going over a lot of changes in terms of prep goals, show changes, weight fluctuations, and what I've been eating as we come down to the final days. This week was definitely a mental challenge. Alongside weight fluctuations and really stubborn bloating, I was trying to adjust to an additional decrease in my intake. Doubt got the best of me, and subsequently, so did worry. BUTTTTTT I'm here now. I got over it. I refuse to entertain doubt for long. I'm choosing to smile and be grateful. I know that I have done all that I can do up to today, and that is more than enough for me to be proud of myself. Getting out of the habit of self-criticism (hint: I use the word "habit" for a reason) is tricky. When we're so wrapped in our heads with judgement, externally comparing our progress to someone else's, or even dismissing the inherent value of our lives, we begin spiralling down a tunnel of pessimism and doubt, which will make us even MORE susceptible to negative self-talk. Whatever root this habit stems from, it is a chain reaction that NEEDS to be broken. Now no matter how much I love my biscuits??I'm no cookie-cutter advocate??, meaning I have no objective one-size-fits-all-protocol to share. When I talk personal growth, I talk personal change, which means personal discovery. What I can say though, is that it is imperative you adopt a growth-craving mindset. Which part of your life today, not in the past or future, but TODAY, is worth celebrating? In the midst of your current unease, what is that one thing your heart continues to beat for despite it? Whatever it be, I want you to MAGNIFY IT. Focus on these blessings. See things relatively. Speak with the awareness that you are listening, so say nice things always. It's okay to feel let down and self-critical every now and then, but as soon as you see this habit begin to emerge, go straight to the off-switch: ✨✨turn on your gratitudes✨✨. Find comfort in the love this world provides. Reach out to your friends and family to remind you just how
