As I've grown as a climber, my adventures have grown as well. I've traveled to more remote places, to high peaks and big walls. These experiences have changed me and taught me more about myself than I ever would have dreamed, but they also come with a certain level of risk. Being away from civilization also means being away from help if something goes wrong. I've realized over time that I need to take responsibility for my own safety as well as of those I choose to climb with. Last year I received my Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification and today I'm taking a rock rescue course through @alpenglowexpeditions with some of my closest friends and climbing partners.
