‘One of the things I love most about the Middle East is the magnificent decorative detailing of mosques, palaces and pavilions. Created by artisans using traditional materials and methods, these decorations include mosaic and ceramic tiling, marble and wood inlay and intricate stucco work. On my most recent trip to #Lebanon, I headed to the Chouf Mountains southeast of Beirut to visit #beiteddinepalace, a 19th-century fortress surrounded by forest.
