@evansungnyc photographed this tempting-looking bowl of frozen yogurt, which is sweetened with whipped lavender honey, at @olmstednyc. Not much in the dining room at this 2-month-old Brooklyn spot sets it apart from any number of other new restaurants in the city. But hidden inside a simple and approachable neighborhood restaurant is some serious backyard farming. The first clue comes when diners head toward the garden before dinner for a drink and encounter a claw-foot bathtub filled with scuttling crayfish. Then there’s the bird coop, which comes at the far end of a long, raised bed of radishes. But what might be even more impressive than the farm-to-table playbook is the restaurant’s price tag: No dish costs more than $24.
