This weekend I was ordered to leave a betting shop when I was accompanying my grandfather on his way home and the cashier glared at me as soon as I walked in and demanded to see my proof of age. She was incredibly rude and dismissive when I said that I'm 28yrs old and have two children and am certainly not a teenager, nor was I there to place a bet but to accompany my frail grandfather who was checking the results of a racehorse. Unfortunately I'd left my purse in the car after paying for the shopping so couldn't prove my age with my drivers license and had to leave. My dear Nanny passed away at Easter and to celebrate her birthday I spent the day with my family in memory at her home yet I was shouted at on social media for being selfish and stuck up and ignoring people by not liking or replying to their comments. I then had somebody commenting on a YouTube video about a near miss driving incident with a delivery driver who I reported to the Royal Mail last year for driving dangerously and the stranger called me attention seeking and a liar despite encouraging road safety in a quiet country village filled with elderly residents. I've just had a call from the press about appearing naked on television next week and how I feel about it and the negative criticism it may attract and I rolled my eyes and smiled as always, because no matter what you do in life, good or bad people will put you down, dispute your achievements and discredit your success. Regardless of how I am treated or received by others I always remain polite, positive and thankful that I have the ability to take it on the chin and move forward with my day.
