When @edwintorresphoto graduated from college, he realized that there was no place he more urgently wanted to document than his home borough, the #Bronx. And so he returned to his old stomping grounds with a job for an insurance company and a goal: to make pictures that paid tribute to the #Bronx street photographers he had admired while growing up. “Sometimes I wish I was born earlier, because of the moments they captured,” he told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ, “but when I hang out, I realize the moments are still there, especially in summer.” Follow along this #nytweekender to see @edwintorresphoto’s photos of summers in the Bronx — moments that range from jumping off a pier into the East River to visiting the aquarium at the @bronxzoo, where he took this photo.
