The photographer @george_etheredge spent last Sunday with @billnye, who divides his time between Los Angeles and Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The Science Guy is finishing work on a book called “Everything All at Once: How Nerds Solve Problems” and a series of children’s books called “Jack and the Geniuses.” But on Sundays in New York, @billnye is all kinds of guys: He’s a coffee guy. (“Coffee is the focus,” he said. “Coffee is the whole thing.”) He’s an exercise guy. And, among other things, he writes at least 1,000 words and records a 5-minute podcast. Among @billnye’s favorite things about life in New York: the subway system. “Are you kidding me?” he said. “It’s amazing. Carries a billion people a year. For $2.75 you can go anywhere.
